Christian Lolo Moreno is an active percussionist, timpanist and drum-set artist, specializing in orchestral & theatrical music.

​

As a freelance performer, Christian has played with the Chicago Philharmonic Society, Elgin Symphony Orchestra, Marriott Theatre, Northwest Indiana Symphony, Kenosha Symphony, Chicago Composers Orchestra, Porchlight Theatre, Peacherine Ragtime Society Orchestra, Metropolis, and The Second City, to name a few. In 2022, he was invited to hold the keyboard III book on the national broadway tour of Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, traveling to over 65 cities across the United States, Mexico and Canada. From 2017-2019, he gigged extensively across the U.S with tribute acts, Close to You: The Music of the Carpenters & A Carpenters Christmas. Christian has completed seasonal contracts for several summer stock theatres, including The Timberlake Playhouse and Rocky Mountain Repertory, and has also collaborated on numerous productions with the theatre departments of Northwestern University, Columbia College and Roosevelt University. A frequent call for some of the top jobbing bands working across the midwest, he has appeared with The Bluewater Kings, Treble Monsters and Rhythmique, as well as a number of local independent artists, chamber ensembles, worship groups and pickup orchestras.

As an educator, Christian is currently on faculty at the Oak Park School of Music and a regular guest instructor at the People's Music School. He has previously held teaching positions with the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras, The Ravinia Festival (Sistema Ravinia) and Schaumburg High School, among many others. Christian is a graduate of the DePaul University School of Music, where he primarily studied with Ian Ding & Michael Kozakis.
